River

Animal Adoptions of Flamborough would like to say ’thanks’ to all those would came forward to offer our “River” a new home. With all the trauma she had suffered, she is still sweet natured and eager to please, never loosing her faith in humans.
Thanks to Chedoke Animal Hospital for looking after her check-up, needles, microchip and spay, free of charge to AAF. All was greatly appreciated.
River has now moved on to her new forever family. Her dish of food and water awaited her, a new leash, collar and toys all set out anticipating her arrival. She was thrilled with her fenced yard, checking out the new smells and being able to run freely. All two and four-legged friends at AAF wish River and her new family all the very best.
AAF deals with sad cases each and every week. Cats and dogs left in apartments with no food and water. The owners have moved on and like yesterdays newspaper, have left their four legged friends behind. Cats and kittens abandoned in the country, left to fend off dogs, foxes and coyotes. Because of all the media attention our phones never stopped ringing. Some inquired on Rivers’ well being while others expressed an interest in giving her a home. Let’s shut down the puppy mills, avoid buying pets at pet stores. Visit your local animal shelter. Check out our website at www.anadoptflam.com. You will find many pets listed, all looking for a new forever home.
Note : Thanks again to all who pulled on their rain gear and joined us at the Annual Flamborough Pet Parade. Many dogs along with miniature horses, Casper the goat and a lamb walked the trail to Alexander Place where the residents looked after the judging.
Drinks and hotdogs were handed out to all and prizes were awarded. Special thanks to Katlyn from Alexander Place and the crew from AAF for all their efforts. All pledges for the walk are greatly appreciated and go directly toward the pets in our care.
